Kolkata: In the Iqbalpur police station area of the metropolis, Dewar killed her sister-in-law with a sharp weapon. After the incident, the accused reached the Iqbalpur police station and surrendered. There is an atmosphere of terror in the area due to the killing of the woman. After receiving information about the incident, police and Kolkata Municipal Corporation Administrator Firhad Hakim arrived on the spot.
According to information received from local sources, the accused first entered the house and attacked his sister-in-law with a sharp weapon. After this, he also attacked his two daughters. The doctors declared the woman dead after being taken to hospital in critical condition. At the same time, his two daughters are hospitalized. His condition is said to be critical.
After killing the sister-in-law, the accused reached the Dewar police station and surrendered. The accused Dewar, who arrived to surrender, told the police that he had carried out a fatal attack on his sister-in-law and his two daughters.
Why he attacked Janaleva is not clear yet. After receiving information about the incident, the administration of Kolkata Municipal Corporation reached Firhad Hakim on the spot. He told the media that the incident occurred possibly due to a family or property dispute. Meanwhile, the police is starting to interrogate the accused to find out the reasons for the murder.
A few months ago a similar incident took place in Shaktigarh area of Habibpur block of Malda. Here too, the brother-in-law killed the sister-in-law and reached the police station and surrendered. The deceased was identified as Sandhya Sarkar (33).
