Karan Johar's explanation: I do not take drugs or encourage anyone to take

One revelation after another is being made during the ongoing NCB investigation into the drugs case.
The NCB on Friday arrested Kshitij Prasad, executive producer of filmmaker Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, in a drugs case. He was taken for questioning at 11 a.m. along with another employee Anubhav Chopra. Chopra was allowed to return home at night.

Meanwhile, Karan Johar's name is also constantly coming up. A few days ago, the NCB sent a video of an alleged drug party held at its Karan's home in 2019 to a forensic lab for investigation.

Now, Karan Johar released a statement on social media on Friday clarifying the whole matter. "Many news channels are reporting that Kshitij Prasad and Anubhav Chopra are my close associates," he said. I want to make it clear that I do not know these individuals personally and neither of them is my close associate. '

Karan Johar further wrote that Anubhav Chopra was not an employee in his company Dharma Productions. However, between 2011 and 2013 he worked independently on two projects with the company. He also said that Kshitij Prasad joined Dharma Productions in November 2019, one of the contract-based executive producers for a project.

Karan Johar said, “Neither I nor Dharma Productions are responsible for what people do in their personal lives. The allegation is not related to Dharma production. He also denied reports of drug use at a party held at his home in July last year. "These reprehensible and malicious statements, news articles and news clips have unnecessarily affected me, my family, my colleagues and Dharma Productions," he said.

Karan Johar said, "Once again, I want to make it clear that I do not use drugs or encourage anyone to use drugs. The media has resorted to distorted and false allegations over the last few days. I hope members of the media will keep the peace. Otherwise I will have no other choice and I will have to exercise my legal rights. '

Today is an important day in the Bollywood drugs case as three actresses are to be questioned today. They include Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor. Deepika was scheduled to appear before the Narcotics Control Bureau at 10 am today and has now reached the NCB guesthouse. Where Deepika Padukone and her manager Karishma Prakash can be interrogated.
