New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki WagonR S-CNG has become the best-selling CNG car in the country. The CNG variant of the car has crossed the sales mark of 3 lakh units. The company launched the WagonR hatchback almost two decades ago and it has got a third generation change. Since then, it has been included in the top 10 best-selling cars. If we talk about all the variants, a total of more than 24 lakh units of this car have been sold.
What is the price of the car
The CNG WagonR comes in only two variants - LXI and LXI (O). Priced at Rs 5.25 lakh and Rs 5.32 lakh (ex-show room). The company also sells CNG variants of models ranging from the Alto 800 to the S-Presso, Celerio, Eeco and Ertiga.
Engine and mileage
The WagonR comes with a 1.0-liter CNG, 3-cylinder petrol engine. With CNG, this engine generates 58bhp of power and 78Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox is available with the engine. The car comes with electronic control units (ECUs) and an intelligent injection system. The company claims that the WagonR S-CNG car gives an excellent mileage of 33.54 km per kg.
Features of WagonR CNG
The exterior of the WagonR CNG features a roof antenna and body color bumpers. It comes with a dual tone interior with front cabin lamps and a driver side sanitizer with a ticket holder. For comfort and safety the car comes with power windows, AC water holder, reclining and front sliding seats and real parcel tray. Safety includes driver and passenger airbags, ABS + EBD, seat belt reminder, central locking and rear parking sensors.
