Bangalore: On the one hand, the level of contaminated foam is increasing in the lake water. Pictures of the lake filled with toxic chemicals are frightening to people. On the other hand, another water body of that city was named in the record book.
The pictures of Belandur and Bharatur Lake in Bangalore are known to everyone till now. It is wrong to call them ice when you see them filled with white foam. In fact, the layer of foam has been formed by the accumulation of contaminated chemicals. And this Hebbagodi Lake in Bangalore has taken place in the 'Limka Book of Records'. This lake is the largest floating artificial island in India.
This lake has a floating artificial island. The island is surrounded by 12,000 square feet of greenery.
Trees are planted on the island in a special way. Crops are being grown using minerals and water without soil. The floating raft is made of used pipes. As a result of growing crops in the island, the water is also being purified. The project to build this island started in August 2016. The 35-acre project was started by Biocon India and Syngene International.
