Ahmedabad: Corona virus infection is spreading rapidly in Ahmedabad, Gujarat these days. In such a situation, to stop the spread of the increasing infection, it has been decided to impose a 57-hour weekend curfew under the municipal limits from Friday.
The Gujarat government has decided that from 20 November to 23 November, there will be a curfew in Ahmedabad daily from 9 am to 6 am. During this time only the shops of milk and medicine will be allowed to open.
Additional Chief Secretary Rajiv Kumar Gupta has been appointed as Special Officer by the Government of Gujarat and his job is to supervise the functioning of corona virus infection of Ahmedabad Municipality. Gupta had announced in the evening that the night curfew would remain in force from 9 am to 6 am daily from Friday (November 20) until further orders.
However, a few hours later, Gupta said that 'full curfew' would be in force from Friday night to Monday morning. He clarified that the night curfew will be effective from 9 pm Monday in the city.
In view of the current situation of the corona virus, the Gujarat government has stopped its decision to open secondary schools and colleges in the state from 23 November. Let us tell you that 1,340 new cases of corona virus infection occurred in the last 24 hours in Gujarat and with this, the total number of corona virus infections in the state increased to 1,92,982 on Thursday.
The Health Department of Gujarat gave this information. During this time, 1,113 patients have also become corona virus infection free. According to the release issued by the Health Department, the total number of people who died due to infection has increased to 3,830 due to the death of seven more patients in the state.
