New Delhi: Honda has introduced the Honda City hatchback. The car is currently being rolled out in Thailand and will be the first to go on sale there. The company has released the hatchback version of the City after a very long time. The launch date of this car has not been fixed in India.
How different the
Honda City Hatchback will be from the sedan Honda City depends on the platform of the hatchback sedan. Almost every body panel of the car is taken from the sedan itself. The car is given a blacked out grille and a dark chrome finish for a sporty look. In addition the car comes with 16 inch alloy wheels. The interior of the car is almost the same as the city sedan. In which no particular change was observed.
City Hatchback: Engine and Power
The car is powered by a 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine. Which generates 122hp power. A CVT gearbox is provided along with this engine. The company may introduce this car with different engines in different markets.

Honda City sedan is powered by a 1.5L i-VTEC engine. And it is available in both 6 speed manual gearbox and CVT option. The engine generates 121PS of power at 6,000 rpm and 145Nm of peak torque at 4,300 rpm. The manual variant of the new Honda City with petrol engine will give an average of 17.8 kilometers per liter. The company claims that the CVT variant will give an average of 18.4 kilometers per liter.
