Australian batsman David Warner has set a new record in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Warner has become the first batsman to score 500 or more runs in six consecutive IPL seasons. Warner played an unbeaten 85 against Mumbai Indians in the final league match of IPL-13 on Tuesday. He has scored 529 runs in 14 matches so far this season.
Warner is the second highest run scorer in the tournament. Warner scored 692 runs in 12 matches in the 2019 season. However, he could not play in the 2018 IPL due to the ban. He scored 621 in 2017 and 848 in 2016. His team became champions that season. Warner scored 562 in 2015 and 528 in 2014.
The Australian batsman has played 140 matches in the IPL in which he has scored 5235 runs so far. Which includes four centuries. David Warner's team has reached the playoffs this season. Where he will face Royal Challengers Bangalore on Friday.
