Gandhinagar: It has been decided to close the BAPS Swaminarayan Temple , Akshardham temple in the state capital Gandhinagar from November 20 to November 23. It has been decided to close the temple as a precautionary measure to prevent crowds of devotees from gathering at religious places.
A curfew has been declared for 2 days i.e. 57 hours in Ahmedabad in the wake of rising corona. Steps are being taken in other important cities of Gujarat to curb corona. Night curfew is also being considered in Surat, Rajkot. Then even in Gandhinagar, important steps can be taken to ensure that the corona does not turn. In the midst of all this, it has been decided to keep the famous Akshardham temple in Gandhinagar closed for 4 days.
Due to festivals and vacations, travelers are visiting places worth visiting and religious places. It has also been decided to keep the BAPS Swaminarayan temple in Gandhinagar closed from today till November 23. Earlier, it was decided to close the BAPS Swaminarayan temple in Ahmedabad and now it has been decided to close the Gandhinagar temple as well.
Apart from this, local media reports have also suggested that the decision to close public parks and gardens could be taken by the local administration. Gardens may be locked in almost every sector in Gandhinagar and in Vista, located between the Mahatma Temple and the Secretariat, due to the large number of pilgrims arriving at the Vista.
Importantly, a curfew has been declared in the city from 9 pm on Friday to 6 am on Monday by the state government as the number of corona is once again on the rise in Ahmedabad. Along with this, ST buses plying from the city will also be banned.
