Srinagar: An encounter between Indian soldiers and militants continues in Pampore in Jammu and Kashmir since late Thursday night. A militant has been killed in this encounter that continued till this morning. The operation is still going on by the joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police, 50 RR and CRPF. Earlier, two civilians were injured due to the firing of terrorists who have been admitted to the hospital in Srinagar for treatment.
In a statement issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, it has been said that we have killed an unknown terrorist. Currently in operation. Earlier, the Jammu and Kashmir Police had said that the input of hiding the terrorists was found in Mage Pampore. After this the operation was started by the joint team of Police, Army and CRPF.
Pampore area also has a history that the encounter here is long lasting. Firing started on the team from the hidden terrorists, who got hit and injured two civilians. He has been identified as Kifayat Ahmed and Unknown. Both have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
By the end of October this year in Kashmir, around 200 terrorists have been successful in killing the security forces. Junk troops of the Central Reserve Police Force, Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police, carrying out joint operations, killed most of the 49 terrorists in the month of June unsuccessfully, killing them twice as much as the previous year.
Last year in 2019, security forces killed 157 militants of Hizbul Mujahideen and other terrorist organizations operating in the Kashmir Valley. In April 2020, the security forces have succeeded in killing 28 terrorists and 21-21 terrorists in the months of July and October.
