Russian President Vladimir Putin has said he is ready to work with any US leader but is not ready to accept Biden as president if he wins the election. Relations between current President Donald Trump and Putin have been good. Biden has defeated Trump and he is going to be the new president of America. However, Trump has not yet conceded defeat.
"We are ready to work with any leader whom the American people trust," Putin told Russian state TV on Sunday. But this confidence can only be given to a candidate whose victory has been recognized by the opposition or whose results have been legally determined.
It is noteworthy that during the last election, there were many allegations against Russia. U.S. intelligence has accused Russia of meddling in the 2016 election victory of Donald Trump. Putin said Russia did not congratulate Biden, it was just a formality and there was no bad intention behind it.
Putin was asked if the move could worsen US-Russian relations. The Russian president then said that there was nothing wrong with the relationship between the two countries as it was already bad.
