Washington: 29-year-old Republican Neeraj Anthani, who was elected to the US Senate of Ohio, has made history as the first Indian American. Antani is currently the state's representative, defeating Democratic Party's Mark Fogel on Tuesday to become Ohio's sixth state senator. Which includes most of Montgomery County.
Once sworn in, he will make history by becoming the first Indian-American state senator from Ohio.

Antani, a 23-year-old political science graduate, was elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in 2014. He became one of the youngest legislators in the United States.
