New Delhi:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY Health Scheme in Jammu and Kashmir through video conferencing. Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha and Home Minister Amit Shah were also present at the event. On behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha distributed e-cards to the beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY Health Scheme in Jammu and Kashmir.

Before the beginning of the plan, Amit Shah said that today is an important day for Jammu and Kashmir, because today is going to be the beginning which will worry about the health of the smallest citizen of Jammu and Kashmir. 15 lakh families will get all the health facilities up to 5 lakh free, this scheme is being started today for every Kashmiri siblings.

The Prime Minister said after the beginning of the plan that today is a historic day for Jammu and Kashmir. All the people of Jammu and Kashmir are going to get the benefit of Ayushman Yojana. Health plan is a big step in itself and I am also very happy to see this step taken for the development of our people of Jammu and Kashmir.

10 big things about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech

1: Atal ji had a special affection from Jammu and Kashmir. Atal ji has been giving directions to all of us for further work on the matter of humanism, Jamhooriyat and Kashmiriyat. Today, Jammu and Kashmir is moving forward with this sentiment.

2: The election of the District Development Council has written a new chapter. I saw a hope for development on the face of every voter in Jammu and Kashmir. The people of Jammu and Kashmir have worked to strengthen the roots of democracy in these elections.

3: These elections in Jammu and Kashmir also showed how strong democracy is in our country. But there is another side to which I want to draw the attention of the country. Despite the Supreme Court's order in Puducherry, panchayat and municipal elections are not happening.

4: Around 18 lakh cylinders were refilled in Jammu and Kashmir during the Corona epidemic. More than 10 lakh toilets were built in Jammu and Kashmir under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. But its purpose is not limited to just building toilets, it is also an attempt to improve people's health.

5: Jammu and Kashmir is now running shoulder to shoulder with the development of the country, the way work has been done here on the corona also is praiseworthy. The health sector in Jammu and Kashmir is being given as much attention as never before.

6: JK Ayushman Bharat-Health Scheme has been started today. When people get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh under this scheme, then how much convenience will come in life. Right now about 6 lakh families of the state were getting the benefit of Ayushman Bharat Scheme. After the health plan, all the 21 lakh families will get the same benefit.

7: Another benefit of this scheme will be, your treatment will not be limited to government and private hospitals in Jammu and Kashmir only. Rather, thousands of hospitals are connected under this scheme in the country, you will also get this facility.

8: Shelling on the border has always been a matter of concern. Construction of bunkers in the border areas including Samba, Poonch and Kathua is being done at a rapid pace.

9: New agricultural reforms have created new opportunities for the food processing industry in Jammu and the Valley. With this, thousands of people are going to get self-employment opportunities.

10: A large number of bunkers have not only been built in sensitive places, but the army and security forces have also been given a free hand to protect the citizens.
