New Delhi: Some people in Britain have now come out in support of the ongoing peasant movement in India. A large number of farmers have joined the Delhi border and are protesting against the agricultural law. Meanwhile, former England cricketer Monty Panesar shared a video in which people are seen protesting in Britain.
"It's time for you to change your mind," Panesar wrote, tagging Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with the video. The lion (Sikh) will keep coming to you until you change your mind. '
He also tagged Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh and former veteran all-rounder Yuvraj Singh. Panesar had earlier shared a photo-video supporting farmers. Panesar spoke to himself with a picture of protesting farmers. "What if the buyer says the contract can't be fulfilled because the quality of the crop is not what it used to be, what security do farmers have? There is no option to fix the price. In a second tweet at the time, Panesar said, "Farmers are protesting against the Centre's three agricultural laws. He says the law puts an end to the minimum support price system and leaves it at the "mercy" of big corporates. He also tagged PM Modi in that tweet. As seen in the video, some people are protesting outside the Indian Embassy in Britain.
