Haryana: Four people raped woman by taking her husband hostage

 A shocking incident has emerged from Yamunanagar in Haryana. His 37-year-old wife was allegedly gang-raped by four men who tied a man here. The incident occurred late Thursday night in a village in Yamunanagar district.

The husband of a 37-year-old Nepali woman works as an agricultural laborer. The couple lives in a tubewell room in the village with their two-year-old daughter. In her complaint, the woman said that late Thursday night, the accused got into a car and raped her husband after tying her to the verandah.

How did this happen

The woman said that at around 11 pm on Thursday evening, five people came to the tubewell in a car covering their faces. I was sleeping in the room with my daughter and my husband was sleeping in the verandah. They tied my husband and four people raped me.

She further stated that she pushed the fifth person when he tried to sexually assault her. He falls down, after which he threatens him to suffer dire consequences and runs away. They then rescued her husband.

Landlord took woman to police station

The two later informed their landlord about the incident with them, who took them to the local police station. Following this, a case was registered against the five accused under sections 376D (gang rape), 342 (wrongful imprisonment), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 452 (felony) of the IPC.

Another event

In another incident, a 20-year-old woman was allegedly raped by her 21-year-old Dewar in a village in Uttar Pradesh's Ballia district.

The police officer said the woman told police that her husband's brother had raped her two days earlier, when she was alone at home. The officer said he was threatened with death with a sharp weapon.
