Sharad Pawar's remarks about Rahul Gandhi provoked the Congress and NCP

Mumbai: The
Congress party is outraged after a remark was made by NCP chief Sharad Pawar about former Congress president Rahul Gandhi. Congress leader and cabinet minister in Uddhav Thackeray's government Yashomati Thakur on Saturday said that if the Maha Vikas Aghadi forces wanted to keep the Maharashtra government stable, they would have to stop making any inappropriate remarks about top Congress leaders. The NCP clarified that Sharad Pawar's remarks were merely his father's advice.

Stop commenting on Congress

Earlier, Yashomati Thakur tweeted, "As an acting chairman of the MPCC, I should appeal to the allies in the Maha Vikas Aghadi to stop commenting on the Congress if you want a stable government in Maharashtra." Everyone should follow the basic rules of the coalition.

React to Sharad Pawar's comment

"Our leadership is very strong and stable," Thakur said in another tweet. The constitution of the Great Development Front is the result of our strong assumptions in our democratic values. Yashomati Thakur's reaction came after Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar's remarks in which he questioned Rahul Gandhi's ability as a leader.

What is the whole phenomenon

In fact, in a newspaper interview, Sharad Pawar said that there was a lack of political stability within Rahul Gandhi. After the statement, Yashomati Thakur, Congress working president in Maharashtra and a minister in the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, said that if you want a stable government in Maharashtra, you should stop making inappropriate statements by top Congress leaders.

Shiv Sena said this about this controversy

Shiv Sena, on the other hand, has sided with Sharad Pawar on Rahul Gandhi's remarks. Shiv Sena says that Sharad Pawar's words should be taken as advice. "Sharad Pawar is a very big leader," said party MP Sanjay Raut. If an experienced leader like him makes a comment about any politician, he should understand his guidance.

November 28 marks one year of Mahavikas Aghadi government

In Maharashtra, the Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress Mahavikas Aghadi government completed one year on November 28. The coalition was formed after the 2019 assembly elections. The BJP contested the elections with the Shiv Sena and emerged as the largest party. However, there were differences between the BJP and the Shiv Sena over the Chief Minister's post. The Shiv Sena later joined hands with the NCP and the Congress to form a government in Maharashtra.
