The Corona virus has killed millions of people so far, but the Swiss prime minister has become the first global leader to fall victim to the deadly virus. Swiss Prime Minister Ambrose Dlamini was born in Corona two weeks ago and was being treated at a South African hospital. Ambrose, 52, contracted corona in November but said his symptoms were mild and he was in good health. However, he later fell ill and was admitted to a hospital in neighboring South Africa in early December where he breathed his last.
This is very sad news for the country
Deputy Prime Minister Themba Masuku announced the news of the Prime Minister's demise. "I am deeply saddened to announce that our country's Prime Minister Ambrose Mendoza Dlamini has passed away," he said. He said he was being treated at a hospital in South Africa and breathed his last this afternoon.
Prince Malunge's great-grandson was Ambrose Dlamini
Born in Bakelveni in 1968, Ambrose was the great grandson of Prince Malunge. He studied at Hampton University in Virginia, USA. He then worked in the banking sector for more than 18 years. She has three children. Prior to becoming Prime Minister in November 2018, he was the Managing Director of Swatini Nedbank Limited. He had no experience of government work and he became the youngest Prime Minister in the history of the country.
Swaziland is a very small country
Swaziland is a very small country with a total population of 1.2 million. According to the World Bank, 39 per cent of the country's population was below the poverty line in 2016 and 2017. More than 6,700 cases of corona have been reported in Swaziland and 127 people have died.
