Sushant case: Maharashtra Home Minister asks CBI, says, 'It's been 5 months, what have you got?'

Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has expressed dissatisfaction over the ongoing CBI probe into the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Anil Deshmukh says it has been more than five months since the probe was launched but no concrete results have been forthcoming. He also appealed to the CBI to disclose the matter soon.

During a press conference, Anil Deshmukh said, "Maharashtra and the people of the country are waiting for the CBI's investigation report into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. People are asking me how far the investigation into the case has reached. That was a murder. "

Anil Deshmukh further said, "It has been 5 to 6 months since the case was handed over to the CBI. Therefore, the agency should make its report available to the public as soon as possible so that it can be ascertained whether the case was suicide or murder." Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead on June 14, 2020 at his Bandra home. Earlier, Mumbai Police had registered a case of Accidental Death and started an investigation. However, Sushant's fans and family questioned the police investigation.

As a result, on August 19, the Supreme Court granted bail to Sushant's father K.K. Singh had handed over the case to the CBI on the basis of an FIR registered in Patna. In the complaint, Sushant's father accused his girlfriend Riya Chakraborty and others of inciting suicide. In October, the medical board of AIIMS in New Delhi denied that Sushant had been murdered. "This is a case of suicide," he said.
