Listening to the national anthem before any match starts is an emotional moment for any player. These moments fill the player with enthusiasm. Indian fast bowler Mohammad Siraj could not contain his emotions during the national anthem in the first match of the third Test against Australia in Sydney.

Siraj, now playing his second Test match, made his Test debut in Melbourne. His father died during a tour of Australia, but he did not return to India. Tears welled up in Siraj's eyes when the national anthem was played before the match. Cricket Australia has shared a post in which Siraj can be seen getting emotional. Siraj took a total of five wickets in Melbourne. He became the first Indian bowler since Mohammad Shami in 2013 to take five wickets in his debut match. Shami took 9 wickets against West Indies. Siraj also gave India a good start in the third Test. He caught David Warner at the hands of Cheteshwar Pujara.
