Coronavirus cases are continuously increasing in Delhi and today the infection cases on Holi have broken the record. According to the data released by Delhi Government on Monday, 1,904 new cases of corona infection have been reported in the capital in the last 24 hours, which is the largest figure of this year. Earlier on Sunday, 1,881 new cases of corona were reported in the capital. This is the fifth consecutive day when more than 1,500 cases have been reported in Delhi, for which people are constantly being appealed to take precaution.
On the previous day, 6 deaths have been recorded from Corona. With this, the number of infection cases in Delhi has increased to 6,59,619. At the same time, the death toll has risen to 11,012. Meanwhile, 1,411 people have recovered from Corona in one day in the capital and so far 6,40,575 people have recovered from Corona. Currently, the number of active cases in the capital has risen to 8,032. The increasing number of new cases coming up every day has become a cause of concern for the government.
Ban on public programs on festivals
This pace of Corona in Delhi is also frightening because many festivals will be celebrated in the coming days. However, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Sunday that he would not attend any public event due to the rise in Corona's case. On Sunday, he appealed to the people to celebrate the festival with their families and avoid congestion. At the same time, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority has ordered that there will be no public festival in the capital during the upcoming festivals like Navratri.
More than 68,000 new cases of corona a day in the country
In the last 24 hours, more than 68,000 new cases of corona have been reported from across the country. With the new figures, the total number of infections in the country has now increased to 1,20,39,644. At the same time, more than 200 patients have died due to corona in one day. According to the Union Health Ministry, there has been a steady increase in cases of coronavirus. The number of active cases in the country has increased to 5,21,808. With this, the rate of people recovering has fallen to 94.58 percent.
The second wave of corona in 8 states has the most impact
In 8 states of the country, the second wave of Corona is getting the most effect. Corona cases have increased threefold in the last three weeks and in the last 35 days, there have been one million new cases of corona. Maharashtra, Karnataka, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Chhattisgarh are reporting the highest number of corona cases every day. 84.5 percent of the country's cases are coming from here. At the same time, 80 percent of active cases are coming from Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Karnataka and Chhattisgarh.
