So far, many such privacy leaks have been reported in which it is heard that the personal information of the users has been leaked online. Have you ever heard of a case of leaking of personal information of the head of a social media platform? If not heard, this may be shocking for you because Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's cell phone number and personal information has been leaked online. According to a researcher, this has been done with the help of low-level hacking forum.
According to a report by several agency and The Sun, Zuckerberg's personal information has been leaked online. This leak information includes name, location, marriage details, date of birth and Facebook ID. Insider Aaron Holmes had earlier said about the leak that the data of 500 million Facebook users has been leaked and has been posted on a forum.
Cyber researcher Dave Walker said that Zuckerberg and Facebook co-founders Chris Hughes and Dustin Moskowitz are among the 533 million users whose personal data has been leaked on the forum. In this case, when asked by the Facebook spokesperson, they said that, this is an old data that was reported in 2019. We fixed it only in August 2019. At the same time, Facebook has not given any statement on the data leak of Zuckerberg at the moment.
Alon Gal, CTO of Cybercrime Intelligence Hudson Rock, said that, even though the data was leaked many years ago, it is still very important information for cybercrime, which has been leaked online. He said that it appears to be the same Facebook linked phone number data which has been circulating among hackers since January.
This is the second such instance within 10 days in India where claims are being leaked of the users database of a company. Earlier this week on Tuesday, data from 100 million users of Gurgaon-based mobile payment and digital wallet company Mobikwik was allegedly leaked and being sold on Darkweb.
