Twitter users will now be able to get blue tick again, verification will start for these 6 categories

Twitter on Thursday announced the resumption of its new verification application process, which will start from 6 categories and to help users get the blue badge on the micro-blogging platform globally. But the public application will be reviewed.

The 6 categories include government, companies, brands and organizations, news organizations and journalists, entertainment, sports and gaming, activists, organizers and other influential people. Twitter said it will introduce more categories later this year, including for example categories such as scientists, academics and religious leaders, which will be launched.

Verification option will be available in account settings

In the next few weeks, the new verification application will be visible directly on Twitter in the Account Settings tab on Twitter. The company said in a blog post, we are slowly releasing it to everyone, to ensure that we can review applications on time. Once an application is submitted, applicants can expect a response by email within a few days, but depending on how many open applications are in the queue, it may take a few weeks.

Twitter brought new policy

Twitter said in a statement, if your application is approved, you will automatically see a blue badge on your profile. If you feel that we have made a mistake, then apply again 30 days after getting our decision on your application. In the past several months, Twitter has worked to bring clarity to the verification eligibility criterion and has launched a new policy based on public feedback.

It also started implementing the policy by automatically removing verified badges from accounts that no longer meet the update criteria for verification, such as inactive (incomplete) or incomplete (incomplete). Twitter said that it has also introduced new guidelines for verified accounts on the platform to encourage better interaction. Verified accounts that repeatedly violate Twitter rules, the blue badge will be removed.
