Fitness Tips: If you sit and drink milk, then change the habit today, know these 8 rules


You must have heard elders saying that drink water sitting and drink milk standing. 
But often children ignore their words. But in real sense, these things of the elderly are very experienced, in which many secrets of health are hidden. If you too have been consuming milk sitting till now, then change this habit from today, so that you can get the full benefit of its consumption. Let us tell you what are the rules for drinking milk in Ayurveda.

1. It is said in Ayurveda that drinking milk while sitting causes digestive problems and due to digestion problems the whole body is affected. While drinking milk while standing, the body gets its full benefit and the tridoshas i.e. Vata, Pitta and Kapha remain balanced. In Ayurveda, every disease is seen only by connecting it to Tridosha.

2. There are many other benefits of drinking milk while standing. Due to this the knees do not deteriorate, the muscles become strong. Apart from this, problems like heart disease and high BP are prevented and it is also considered very beneficial for eyes and skin.

3. Milk should always be drunk half an hour before sleeping at night, and sugar should not be used in it. If you want, you can consume some jaggery with it. If one spoon of cow's ghee is mixed in milk, then it becomes even more beneficial.

4. Nowadays the trend of packaged milk has gone, but drinking this milk should be avoided. Always drink fresh and organic milk.

5. Ayurveda also believes that milk should always be boiled and drunk. If you find it heavy, then you can drink it by adding a little water. This will make it light and digestible.

6. To take full advantage of milk, drink it two hours after dinner and half an hour before sleeping. Dinner should be done by 7.30 pm.

7. Milk should never be taken with food as it is not easily digested. It should always be drunk separately.

8. People who have worms in their stomach, problems related to digestion, skin problems, cough etc., they should avoid drinking this milk.
