At present, human beings are suffering from various types of diseases. The name of psoriasis is also included in these diseases. Psoriasis is a disease that is related to our skin. A thick layer resembling a red rash appears on the skin of people suffering from this disease, where the victim starts itching a lot. Sometimes these red spots also cause pain and swelling. Usually most people ignore it but in reality it is a serious skin disease. Psoriasis usually affects people with weak immunity. Apart from this, it is also genetic which is passed on from generations. Psoriasis causes a lot of problems.

Psoriasis can be due to many reasons

We chatted with Dr. Reshma Vishnani, a Dermatologist working at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute, Mumbai, to bring as much information as possible about psoriasis to the viewers and readers of TV9 Bharatvarsh. Dr. Reshma told that although psoriasis can be due to many reasons, but among these reasons weak immunity, genetics, stress are big reasons. However, nothing is clear about the main cause of this disease so far. He told that in this era of coronavirus, people either stopped taking care of their skin or did very little. Because of this, there is an increase in the cases of psoriasis.

Psoriasis is more on these parts of the body

In psoriasis, red rashes occur on different parts of the body, in which a white crust is formed. A person suffering from psoriasis gets red rashes on the skin of the koi, knees, lower waist, head. There is also a form of psoriasis when the whole body of the sick person starts turning red. This is a serious condition, in which the victim has to be hospitalized. Dr. Reshma told that the skin of our body keeps on changing after every 40 to 50 days, about which we do not even know. But in the case of psoriasis, new skin comes on the old skin. Due to which the skin of that place turns into a thick layer.

Any problem related to skin should not be ignored

Dr. Reshma told that psoriasis usually occurs only in such places where the part keeps moving hundreds of times in a day, such as elbows and knees. In such a situation, there are cuts in the thickened skin which is very painful. He said that in this era of corona virus epidemic, we have to wash our hands many times and use sanitizer. In such a situation, this disease is getting more in the hands of people and is causing terrible pain. Therefore, any problem related to the skin should not be ignored. If you are also feeling any kind of problem on your skin, then you should contact the doctor immediately.
