Union Home Minister Amit Shah will start providing medical education in Hindi at a function in Bhopal on 16 October. A senior minister gave this information on Friday. Madhya Pradesh Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang said that the Union Home Minister will unveil the book of Hindi syllabus of medical education during a program at Motilal Nehru Stadium.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan while reviewing the preparations for the program on Thursday said that it is a program to establish the pride of one's mother tongue and it is a historic event to change the mindset of the people. He said this would be an example to prove that particular subjects can be taught in Hindi and not only in English.
CM Chouhan further said that in the coming days, apart from medical education, engineering, nursing and paramedical courses will also be taught in Hindi in the state. The Chief Minister directed to ensure the participation of maximum number of people, especially Hindi experts, in the program as it aims to change the mindset of the people towards the language.

Elaborating on the syllabus, Sarang said, "The first section of books for subjects like Physiology, Biochemistry and Anatomy is ready and these books will be given to the students studying in the first year of MBBS. He said that three subject books have been prepared by a team of experts. He said that the second section of these books is being prepared.
Sarang, a person who contributed significantly to this initiative, said, 'The books have been prepared in such a way that the technical terms like blood pressure, spine, heart, kidney, liver or other important organs of the body and related words are written in Hindi.' "We have prepared the books in such a way that after completing MBBS course in Hindi, they do not lag behind as they will be learning all the technical and medical terms in English as well as in Hindi," he said. Sarang said that in the first year only three subjects (physiology, anatomy and biochemistry) are taught mainly to the students.
