The motive behind introducing UPI was to reduce cash transactions. For UPI payment, a smartphone is definitely needed, but even now there are many people who do not have the facility of a smartphone.
To help such people, the Reserve Bank had started the UPI 123PAY service. Let us tell you that this service can also be used on feature phones, that is, you can easily make UPI payments on feature phones too. For this you just have to follow some simple steps.
Follow this process for payment through UPI123pay
1) Let us know that first you have to link your bank account with UPI 123pay facility and to do this you need to call on 08045163581, 08045163666 or 6366200200. Let us tell you that all these three are IVR numbers.
2) After this you generate your UPI PIN number using debit or credit card.
3) After calling the IVR number, you will hear some options, listen to them carefully. You will be able to take advantage of facilities like money transfer to bill payment.
4) To transfer money, you have to add the number of the person in front and then enter your PIN number by entering the amount of money you want to send.
5) By doing this, money will be deducted from your account and money will be transferred to the account of the person in front.
