Lok Sabha-Rajya Sabha adjourned indefinitely, ended 6 days earlier

Giving information about the work done during the winter session of Parliament in the Lok Sabha, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that a total of 13 meetings were held in this house during the winter session, which lasted for 68 hours 42 minutes. At the same time, the work productivity of the current session in the House was 97 percent. In this session, 9 Government Bills were introduced in the Lok Sabha and in total 7 Bills were passed.

During this period, MPs of all parties raised 374 matters of public importance in the Lok Sabha. At the same time, on December 20 and 21, a short-term discussion was held under Rule 193 on the important issue of increasing drug use in the country. 51 members of the House participated in this discussion. Also, this discussion ended with the answer of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

1811 papers were laid on the table

Lok Sabha Speaker informed that during the session, 43 statements were made by the Ministers of the Government, 1811 papers were placed on the Table of the House. He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Parliamentary Affairs Minister and leaders of all parties for their cooperation in the proceedings of the House.
