PTI has reported quoting people working in the tourism sector that this year, apart from popular tourist destinations like Goa, Kerala and Shimla, tourist places like Lonavala, Visakhapatnam, Dharamshala, Udaipur, Manali and Gir also have a good number of rooms. Huge demand is being seen. The booking of rooms in many hotels and resorts has been completed here.

What do tourism sector experts say?

Regarding the booking of hotels and rooms, Vijay Dewan, Managing Director of APJ Surendra Park Hotels Limited, says that the end of 2022 looks very positive due to the New Year. This year is going to be good for tourism and hospitality sector.

On the other hand, Kavinder Singh, MD and CEO of Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited said that after 2020 this will be the first perfect Christmas and New Year… In some of our resorts there is not a single room available in December, because of which people have booked all Rooms are booked.

Singapore and Dubai are also popular destinations

Regarding which places people are preferring to visit, Kavinder Singh says that apart from popular destinations like Goa, this time tremendous booking has also been seen in Coorg, Gir, Shimla and Manali. At the same time, craze is being seen among those doing international tours regarding Singapore and Dubai. The company's hotels in Lonavli and Alibaug are fully booked.

Hotel Association of India Vice President K. B. Kachru also says that this time advance booking of rooms in hotels and resorts has been done very fast. After this, due to the upcoming wedding season, the demand is also visible in January.

OYO booking is also tremendous

A spokesperson of OYO, a company that provides budget hotels, says that this time between 25 and 31 December, advance booking of hotel rooms has increased a lot. This is 44 percent more than last year. At the same time, Goa, Hyderabad, Puri, Manali and Kolkata have emerged as popular destinations on the company's platform.
