Father battling cancer gave 'sacrifice', daughter became Chhattisgarh's first woman Agniveer


Hisha Baghel, a resident of Durg district of Chhattisgarh, has become the first woman Agniveer of the state. He has been selected for the Indian Navy.

A father battling cancer sold his auto to fund his daughter's studies. At the same time, the daughter also did not let this sacrifice of her father go unnoticed and due to her hard work became the first woman Agniveer of Chhattisgarh. The name of this daughter is Hisha Baghel, who has been selected for the Indian Navy . Hisha Baghel is currently undergoing training for Senior Secondary Recruits from the Indian Navy in Chilka, Odisha.

After the training that lasts till March, Hisha will be deployed for the security of the country. Hisha's journey to become Agniveer started from his home district Durg. She is a resident of Bori Garka, a small village in Durg. To become Agniveer, he took training on his own. During school days itself, she would go out for a run every morning. He also took the support of Yoga to train himself.

While studying in school itself, Hisha had made up her mind that she would join the army. That's why he started training during school itself. After completing his schooling, he took admission in the college, where he got information about the methods of joining the army. Actually, while studying in college, he decided to join NCC.

Agniveer's form came out during NCC training itself and Hisha also applied for it. Soon his selection was also done. Hisha also worked hard for the recruitment, as she was the only girl in the village to compete with the boys. Whereas, as soon as Hisha got the information about the selection in Agniveer. Similarly, along with his family, a wave of happiness ran in the entire village.

Hisha's mother Sati Baghel told that father Santosh Baghel has left no stone unturned regarding the education of the children. He said that Hisha's father has been battling cancer for more than 10 years. He also sold his auto to feed the family and to teach Hisha. Apart from this, even the land was sold. Hisha also did the work of teaching tuition to the children to meet the expenses during the family's struggle.
