Sun God has a lot of religious importance in Hinduism. It is believed that whoever worships the Sun God during fasting or offers water to him, all the troubles in his life go away. Apart from this, such people do not get affected by any disease easily. Sun worship is especially considered special on the day of Makar Sankranti. On these days, waking up early in the morning, water must be offered to the Sun God. But some things must be kept in mind while offering water. It is believed that if worship is done in a wrong way, instead of getting auspicious results, its results will be read in reverse. So let's know some special things related to Surya Puja.
While offering water to the sun, keep in mind that water should not fall on your feet. For this, you can keep a bucket or box in which water falls. Also, after offering water, circumambulate the same place thrice.
If for some reason you do not wake up early in the morning and are unable to offer water to the rising Sun, then whenever you offer water to the Sun God, add rice and flowers to it. It is believed that this pleases the Sun God and gives auspicious results to the devotee.
Chant the mantra Om Ghrini Suryaya Namah while offering Arghya to the Sun God and never step on the water offered. To avoid this, if you want, pour water in a pot or vessel.
Fasting on Sunday has been considered the most powerful and effective of all the remedies of the Sun God. It is believed that if there is any defect in your horoscope, then by continuously worshiping the Sun God, they go away.
If possible, use a copper vessel while offering water to the Sun God. It is believed that this pleases the Sun God quickly and also removes the problems that come in life.
