Baraat Returned After Bride Refuses To Marry: Wedding rituals were going on. There was an atmosphere of happiness. People were eating and drinking and some were engaged in conversation. But the groom was repeatedly doing such acts, which not only his father but also other people were finding awkward. When the groom's father could not stand it, he slapped him. In response, the son also raised his hand on the father. The atmosphere suddenly heated up at the wedding venue. After this incident, the bride's cross was crossed and she refused to marry. After this the procession returned.
Chitrakoot's incident
Actually this incident is of a village in Shivrampur police post area of Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh. The marriage of a girl living here was fixed with a young man from Barra, Kanpur. The procession reached the girl's place with much fanfare. During Jaimala, the bridegroom was so impressed by the beauty of the girl that he decided not to stay apart even for a moment. The groom knew that after 4-5 days of marriage, the girl goes back to her home and comes back to her in-laws house only after a long time. The groom was upset because of this. He was repeatedly getting up in between the rituals and going to the bride's room and trying to convince her.
There was no agreement between the two parties
His father did not like the groom's doing this and he slapped the son in front of everyone. The groom got annoyed by eating the food slapped in the full mandap. Turning around, he also slapped his father on the cheek. The bride was shocked to see this and she refused to marry. After this, there was a break on all the rituals of marriage. After getting the news of the uproar in the marriage, the police reached the spot and tried to pacify both the parties. But no one was ready to accept. According to the outpost in-charge, both sides talked about returning their expenses. After the settlement, the procession returned without the bride.
