What is the meaning of buttons like MC, MR, M+ and M- in calculator?

Calculator Buttons:  The calculator is usually used for plus (+), minus (-), multiply (x) and divide (÷). Calculator is also used to some extent to calculate the percentage. But there will be very few people who use calculator other than these.

Calculator Buttons Meaning: Everyone must have used calculator at one time or the other. Now that the facility of calculator is available in the mobile itself, the need for the original calculator has definitely reduced but it still remains.

The calculator is most commonly used for plus (+), minus (-), multiply (x) and divide (÷). Calculator is also used to some extent to calculate the percentage. First of all know what they mean:- MC = Memory Clear, M+ = Memory Plus, M- = Memory Minus and MR = Memory Recall.

M+

The function of this button is to add the calculation to the memory i.e. plus. M+ button is used to multiply two different numbers and get the result of their product. Let's understand it with an example.

Example :

We have 2 notes of 5 rupees and 5 notes of 10 rupees. Now we have to connect all these together.

We'll first multiply 5 by 2 and then press m+. pressing m+ will save its result,

Now we'll multiply 10 by 5 and then press m+. Now both our calculations are saved.

Now mr button will be useful for us. mr means memory recall, it is used to know the results.

On pressing the Mr button, the complete result of both the calculations will come out.

m-

The function of this button is to reduce the calculation in the memory. This button is used to multiply two different numbers and subtract them.

Example :

- We have to do two calculations.

We have 5 notes of 10 rupees and 2 notes of 5 rupees. Now we have to subtract the product of these two.

First we'll multiply 10 by 5 and press m-.

After this we will multiply 5 by 2 and press mr to get the result. Will get the answer.

mc

- Whatever you have calculated before is cleared after pressing this button.

The calculator also has an AC button which means all clear. Pressing it will erase everything you have written.
