12 Days, 2300 KM, 8 Navy Women Officers… Will be proud to know the purpose of car rally


The women power of the Indian Navy is now going to travel by car from Delhi to the end of Jaipur. During this, a special message will also be given to the women of the country.

Women officers of the Indian Navy have gone out to feel the power of women by driving a car for 2300 kms. Mahila Motor Abhiyan is being run to pay tribute to the women officers of the Navy and the brave women of the country and the Indian Navy. Starting from the War Memorial in Delhi, the yatra will go till Longewala Post in Rajasthan. During this, different programs will also be held at many places. The purpose of the yatra is to show the power of women power, to make women aware and to make girls join the Navy.

During his speech from the Red Fort on the 76th Independence Day, PM Modi had said that the contribution of women power would be important to achieve the vision of 'Amrit Kaal'. Navy Wellness and Welfare Association (NWWA) has partnered with M/s Jeep India to conduct a Mahila Motor Abhiyaan as a tribute to the heroic women of the nation and the Indian Navy.

She is unstoppable…

The All Women Car Rally will be held from the National War Memorial in New Delhi to the War Memorial in Longewala (Rajasthan) with the slogan and tagline of 'She is Unstoppable'. The rally will run for 12 days i.e. from February 14 to February 25, 2023. It will cover a distance of 2300 kilometers from Delhi via Jaipur, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Longewala, Jodhpur.

Why is the car rally being taken out?

1- Celebrating 75th anniversary of independence

2- Paying homage at the Longewala War Memorial

3- To showcase the contribution of Navy women officers

4- Motivating women to join the Indian Navy

5- Interacting with Navy veterans/heroes on the way

6- Conducting NWWA outreach as a part of NWWA Day celebrations

7- Navy Chief PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC Admiral R Hari Kumar and NWWA President Kala Hari Kumar will flag off this car rally from the National War Memorial through virtual medium.

Soldiers will meet families

During this rally, the President and members of NWWA will interact with the families of ex-servicemen as well as conduct outreach programs in special children's schools, old age homes and orphanages. Apart from this, women officers will conduct an awareness campaign about the career opportunities provided by the Indian Navy. She will inspire students in identified schools and colleges about Agniveer and other schemes to join the Navy.
