The year was 1948, the film was 'Aag'. For the first time in this film, the pair of Raj Kapoor and Nargis appeared on the screen. Both of them met for the first time on the sets of the film and it is said that Raj Kapoor had fallen in love with Nargis at first sight, he lost his heart on the beauty of Nagaris. In no time this love became two sided. Nargis also fell in love with Raj Kapoor. Both started loving each other very much. This story of love that started from the set of 'Aag' progressed further. Arrested in love with Raj Kapoor, Nargis wanted to marry him. But the problem here was that Raj Kapoor was already married and had children, from whom Raj Kapoor did not want to be away.

Nargis worked in many films of Raj Kapoor, but it is said that later she left RK Studio for some reason. Her last film with Raj Kapoor was 'Shri 420' released in the year 1955. Leaving RK Studio, Nargis worked with Sunil Dutt in the 1957 film 'Mother India'. About a year after the release of this film, Nargis married Sunil Dutt.
