How to worship Mata Shabri
To worship Shabari Jayanti, after getting up early in the morning, first take bath and after wearing clean clothes, first of all offer Arghya to Surya Narayan because Mata Shabari who used to worship Lord Rama with dignity, she herself Used to worship the Sun God because he was Suryavanshi. After worshiping the Sun, take a pledge to fast and worship Shabri Mata according to the rules and regulations, after that place the photo or idol of Lord Rama and Mata Shabri on a post with a yellow cloth and then give them a bath with the water of the Ganges. After this, worship Lord Rama and Mother Shabri with flowers, fruits, sandalwood, incense-lamps etc. To get auspicious fruits on the day of Shabari Jayanti, do offer ber bhog. After this, praise Lord Ram and at the end after performing Aarti, distribute Prasad to everyone and take it yourself.
Remedies for Shabari Jayanti Puja
There is a lot of importance of worshiping Lord Shri Ram along with Mother Shabari on Shabari Jayanti. It is believed that on Shabri Jayanti, if a devotee recites Shri Ramcharit Manas with full devotion and faith, then Lord Shri Ram's blessings shower on that seeker, just like Lord Ram showered on Shabri during the Ramayana period.
Why did Shabri feed false berries to Lord Rama?
It is believed that when Lord Rama met Shabari in the forest during his exile, Shabari brought berries to his beloved for food. According to the legend, Mata Shabri did not want her Lord to eat sour berries, so she tasted and gave Lord Shri Ram only sweet berries to eat. It is believed that Lord Rama was pleased with this devotion of his devotee and at the end of time Mata Shabari was found in Vaikunth.
