This is why the wife sits on the left side of the husband in any religious ritual, know the reason and importance

Why Wife Sitting In Left Side: It is believed that women originated from the left side of Lord Shiva. In the scriptures, the wife has been called Vamangi, which means the possessor of the left organ. That's why in any religious work the wife is given a place on the left side of the husband.

Patni Pati ke baye taraf kyun baithi hai: In Hindu religion and scriptures, the place of wife and women has been told on the left side. The wife is made to sit on the left side of the husband in worship-recitation, religious functions or events, marriage rituals etc. It is a belief that a woman originated from the left part of Lord Shiva, whose symbol is the Ardhanarishwar body of Lord Shiva. And for this reason, women have been called Vamangi i.e. the possessor of the left organ in the scriptures. Despite being left-handed, it has also been told in the scriptures that women should stay on the right side in some works. Let us know when the wife has the right to sit on the left side and when on the right side and what are the reasons given in the scriptures behind this.

Left Right:

It has been said in the scriptures that the wife is the left hand of the husband. That's why Sindoordan, while taking blessings, while eating and sleeping in the bed should be on the left side. This gives auspicious results and blessings of God. If you have forgotten the direction, then immediately seek forgiveness from God.

Right hand side

In spite of getting rights on the left side, it has been told in the scriptures that women or wives should remain on the right side in some works and places. Women and wives should sit on the right side at the time of Kanyadan, Yajnakarma, Jatkarma, marriage, in naming and at the time of food prashan. It is believed that if the direction of sitting is not right then the result of worship is not achieved completely.
