It is said that when Madhubala saw Dilip Saheb for the first time, she fell in love with him. The actress whose beauty the whole world was crazy about, her heart fell on Dilip Kumar.

To express her love, Madhubala sent a letter to Dilip Saheb with a red rose through one of her make-up artists, in which it was written, 'If you love me too, accept this rose.' Dilip Saheb accepted Madhubala's love and then started from here the never-ending story of Ishq.

After 'Tarana', both worked together in many films and then came the biggest film in the history of Hindi cinema, 'Mughal-e-Azam', in which Dilip Kumar became Shehzada Salim and Madhubala Anarkali. Dilip Saheb wanted to marry Madhubala. He sent the marriage proposal through his elder sister, which was rejected by Madhubala's father Ataullah Khan. This decision of Ataullah Khan hurt Dilip Saheb's heart, but he knew that Madhubala loved him, so one day on the shooting set of another film, Dilip Kumar asked Madhubala to marry him today itself. Want, but there is a condition that after marriage, he should end all relations with his father.

Madhubala became completely silent after hearing these words of Dilip Saheb. Although Dilip Kumar kept asking Madhubala to know her answer, what should I understand from your silence, but Madhubala remained silent. Seeing his silence, Dilip Saheb left from there saying that if I go once, I will not come back again. Then what was there, from here the paths of both of them got separated.

Dilip Kumar gave testimony of love in the court

In the year 1957, a film by director BR Chopra came in which actress Vyjayanthimala was seen with Dilip Kumar. Madhubala was cast for this film before Vyjayanthi. BR Chopra wanted to shoot this film in Bhopal, but Madhubala's father refused to send his daughter to Bhopal, saying that the shooting could be done in Mumbai as well, after which BR Chopra dropped Madhubala from the film. Gave. After this decision of BR Chopra, Ataullah Khan filed a case against him, then Chopra also asked for his advance amount back. In this way the matter reached the court, where Madhubala and Dilip Saheb once again faced each other.

In this matter, Dilip Saheb supported the film director, on which Madhubala said that she could not believe that this person used to love her very much. At the same time, keeping the side of BR Chopra in the court, Dilip Saheb had also testified about his love for Madhubala. He is said to have said in the full court, "Your Honor, I am in love with this woman and will continue to do so till the last breath of my life." Both had parted ways, but the shooting of 'Mughal-e-Azam' was still pending. Both completed the film and the film was released in 1960, in which people liked the pair of Salim and Anarkali.

Dilip Saheb could not see Madhubala at the last moment

However, both moved forward in their respective lives. Madhubala married Kishore Kumar and Dilip Kumar married Saira Banu. Even though the paths of both had parted, Madhubala was still in Dilip's heart and Dilip in Madhubala's heart. There was so much love between the two that both could never forget each other. A time came when Madhubala started being very ill. She used to miss Dilip Kumar and Dilip Kumar also used to visit her often.

Due to heart disease in the year 1969, Madhubala said goodbye to the world at the age of just 36 and Dilip Saheb could not even see her in the last time. When Dilip Saheb returned after hearing the news of Madhubala's death, he went straight to her grave, prayed and remembered the happy moments spent with Madhubala.
