Syria Drug Smuggling:
Syria is a Muslim country whose economy rests on drugs. The medicine that Syria exports was once made in Germany. Now Syria has become a narco-state due to its export.

Syria Drugs Export: Syria has become the world's largest narco-state. Narco-state refers to a country that is dependent on drug exports to run its economy. Its economy runs on drugs. Syria mainly exports tablets like Amfatin. It is also called Captagon or Coke of the poor. Earnings from drug exports account for 90 percent of Syria's foreign exchange.

Captagon is a tablet, which is made from amphetamine and caffeine. There is a ban on import-export and consumption of this medicine at the international level. A German company made this drug in 1961 to deal with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, narcolepsy and depression. This drug is widely used among the youth of Gulf countries. Army soldiers also take this medicine and for this it is called Captain Courage.

Captagon costs $14-20 per tablet.

In the initial days, the cost of this drug used to be $1 per pill, but now it costs $14-20. It is smuggled due to sanctions and Syria is its boss. During the reign of Bashar-al-Assad in Syria, Syria exported a lot of this medicine. Its production was promoted. This is the reason why Syria has become a narco state today. The medicines made here are exported especially to the Gulf countries.

15 tons of captagon bullets recovered in 2020

Since Captagon is a banned drug, it is exported through smuggling. In July 2020, more than 84 million Captagon tablets were recovered. The reason for this was 15 tons and its value was estimated at one billion dollars. In August 2022 also, the custom recovered two tonnes of captagon. Saudi Arabia also seized 47 million Captagon pills this month, which were smuggled into the capital Riyadh.
