Ahiravana was killed by wearing a five-faced avatar
According to the context of Ramayana, at the time of war, Ravana's elusive brother Ahiravan had taken Lord Rama and Lakshmana to Patal Lok by making them unconscious. Ahiravan had lit lamps in five directions in Patal. In fact, he had a boon that no one would be able to kill him until someone extinguishes these five lamps together. To end this illusion of Ahiravana, Hanuman ji took the five-faced avatar.
Hanuman ji had killed Ahiravana by extinguishing all the five lamps together facing in five directions. After killing Ahiravana, Hanuman ji had freed his Lord Shri Ram and Lakshman from Patal Lok. It is said that God fulfills all the wishes of the one who offers Prasad here with a true heart.
