Heart attack: These people are more at risk of silent heart attack, do you also have these problems?

Heart attack Risk: Deaths due to heart attack are increasing in the country for the past several months. Among non-communicable diseases, most deaths after cancer are due to cardiovascular diseases.

Heart Disease: It was a matter of decades ago that very few cases of heart attack were reported. This disease used to occur only in people above 50 years of age, but now the times have changed. Heart attack is happening even in less than 30 years of age. The figures of deaths due to this are also increasing continuously. Doctors are now getting more cases of silent heart attack . Although the cases of death due to this are less, but in some patients it can prove to be fatal.

A few days ago, a person with type-2 diabetes was admitted to a hospital in Delhi. He was experiencing shortness of breath, fatigue and chest pain. Investigation at the hospital revealed that the patient had suffered a silent heart attack. Coronary angiography revealed that he had blockages in the coronary arteries, which led to a silent heart attack. He underwent angioplasty and is currently being followed up regularly. Another 50-year-old smoker had heart failure due to a causative heart attack. Doctors saved the patient's life by performing surgery. Such cases are coming to hospitals every day.

Do not know the symptoms

Cardiologist Dr. Ajit Jain explains that people often do not know that they have had a silent heart attack. Generally, it can be difficult to identify silent heart attack due to non-appearance of symptoms of heart attack. But still it causes damage like any other heart attack, so it is a matter of great concern.

How does silent heart attack affect the body?

The heart needs oxygenated blood to function properly. If there is a blockage (due to cholesterol and other substances) in the heart arteries, then the blood flow to the heart is greatly reduced. Its symptoms are not easily detected in silent heart attack. In many cases, there is only slight pain in the left side of the chest when the attack comes. This is the reason that most of the patients are not able to identify it. But some people are more at risk of getting silent heart attack.
