Baljeet Kaur: Himachal Pradesh's mountaineer Baljeet Kaur is alive and has been rescued from Mount Annapurna in Nepal. The news of his disappearance had come a day earlier while coming down from the mountain.

Himachal Pradesh's mountaineer Baljeet Kaur has been traced. In fact, yesterday i.e. on April 17, news came that she had gone missing while coming down from the summit point above Camp IV of Mount Annapurna in Nepal. But now it is known that she was found alive at an altitude of 7300 meters.

Baljit, 28, is from Plasta Panjrol village near Solan in Himachal Pradesh. She is the first Indian mountaineer to climb the peak of 8000 meters 4 times within a month. His radio contact had gone on Monday.

He immediately sent a radio single of help, after which an aerial search mission was started on Tuesday morning to search for him. Soon the search team found his location and then he was air-lifted from there.

Pasang Sherpa, president of the company that organized this climb, said that Baljit had gone missing above Camp IV. This happened when she was coming down from the top. He climbed the peak without using supplemental oxygen.

On the rescue of Baljeet, the company is happy to inform that Baljeet Kaur has been airlifted from the mountain and has reached Annapurna base camp safely. He will be taken to Kathmandu for medical checkup. Her achievements are spectacular and we admire her courage, strength and determination.

Baljit had tweeted on April 9 that he is in the comfort zone and is resting at the Annapurna base camp. His father Amrik Singh is a retired bus driver from Himachal Road Transport Corporation.

Baljit made a record by reaching Mount Manaslu without oxygen. She was the youngest mountaineer and the first Indian woman to do so. Mount Annapurna is the 10th highest mountain in the world. Its height above sea level is 8091 meters.
