In such a situation, the problems of the people are going to increase even more due to the increased prices of petrol. At the same time, according to Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, the increased prices of petrol have come into effect from 12 noon on Sunday. He also informed that the prices of petroleum products have increased in the international market in the last 15 days. In such a situation, the price of petrol has increased to Rs 282 per liter, while the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) and light diesel oil is Rs 293 per liter and Rs 174.68 per liter without any change.
How much did the prices increase before this?
Earlier on March 31, Ishaq Dar had announced that there would be no change in the prices of petrol and diesel for the next 15 days. Prior to this, on March 15, the price of petrol was increased by Rs 5 per liter and that of high speed diesel by Rs 13 per litre. Actually, the government of Pakistan reviews petroleum prices every 15 days.
On the other hand, Pakistan, which is struggling with poor conditions, has been reaching out to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a long time for loans. At the same time, the IMF has agreed to give loan with conditions after a long time. IMF has asked the government to reduce the subsidy burden. Under this, the prices of petrol diesel are being increased.
