New record will be made on the basis of e-scooter, EV sales will cross 1 million mark

V's sales have crossed the 1 million mark in India by now. In this, the maximum sales have been of 62% two-wheelers.

There has been a bumper boom in the sale of vehicles in India this year. Recently SMEV has released the figures of vehicle sales. In which the sale of electric vehicle has been the highest. According to the data released by the vehicle sales institute, this year this figure has also crossed 1 million. About 11 lakh vehicles have been registered this year.

Let us tell you, the sale of EV has created a new record this year. Its cell has so far crossed the figure of 1 million in India. In this, the maximum sales have been of two-wheelers. That is, the sale of e-scooters has been maximum. The number of people using two-wheelers in India is quite high. This includes scooters, e-rickshaws, and electric autos. The total sale of all these together is close to 8 lakhs. The most amazing thing about this is that on the basis of only e-scooter, the sale of EV has achieved a new record.

Best Selling E-Scooters

This year's sales is a big jump as compared to the year 2017 where only 27,888 units of EV were sold. In the year 2022-2023, there has been an increase in the sales of electric vehicles by almost three times. After e-scooters, electric three wheelers are the most sold.

Suspension affected sales

According to SMEV, the subsidy received by the automobile industry under FAME2 should be suspended for those companies which do not meet the local standards. Its suspension is also one of the main reasons for the sale of the EV. According to the information received from SMEV, the sales have not increased due to the demand of the users, but due to the implementation of subsidy, its sales have increased.

Because of this increased sales

According to the information received from SMEV, the schemes being run before FAME2 to promote the sales of electric vehicles have not made any significant impact. Whereas after the launch of the scheme, the prices of EVs have come down by up to 35%. This is the reason that this time a bumper boom has been seen in his cell.
