Ponniyin Selvan 2 Full Review: Vikram and Aishwarya Rai's film Ponniyin Selvan 2 has been released. This film is directed by famous director Mani Ratnam. Is Ponniyin Selvan 2 better than part 1 of this movie, will this movie solve the unresolved questions? To know this, definitely read this review of Ponniyin Selvan 2.

Story-

Ponniyin Selvan 2 begins with Aditya Karikalan and Nandini's childhood love story, where we get to witness the eye-to-eye romance between young Nandini (Sara Arjun) and Aditya (Santosh Sriram). However, this love story which looks like a dream in flashback turns into the pain of separation. Sundara Chola, the 10th-century Chola emperor, is trying to save his own empire, while his son's love (Nandini) has now become the wife of the Chola general Parvatesvara, who wants to destroy the emperor. He wants his close ones to become emperor.

Aditya and Nandini, who sacrificed their lives for each other, now hate each other. In the first part of the film, we saw that Vandhyavan (Karthi), Arulmorivarman (Jayam Ravi) go to sea to fight with the gang of raiders of Cholanadu. Everyone assumes that both of them are dead. This is the reason why Aditya turns against Nandini to avenge his brother. Aditya himself comes to Thanjavur to take his revenge.

Aditya ready to end her love for her brother and Nandini pitted against her former lover for the throne, who wins, who gets the crown, you must watch Ponniyin Selvan 2. Not just Aditya and Nandini's story but what happened to Vandhyavan's love? Arulmorivarman and Vanathi get married, Mani Ratnam has tried to answer these questions with a new twist.

Writing and Directing

Director Mani Ratnam has successfully completed the challenge of adapting Ponniyin Selvan, a novel written by Kalki. Like Part 1, Part 2 of the film does not confuse. The twists in the story make it more interesting.

Although the making of Mani Ratnam cannot be compared to the making of Rajamouli. So there is no need to compare both. But looking at the way Mani Ratnam has directed the historical fiction novel, it has to be said that Mani Ratnam has been completely successful.

Cinematography and Music-

Ravi Varman's cinematography gives us a closer look at the Chola Empire. Along with the graphics, the background music used in this story impresses us. Looking at AR Rahman's music, Srikar Prasad's editing, grand sets, Elango Krishnan's dialogues, it can be said that every technician has worked hard for this historical film and it is clearly visible in every frame of the film.

The story of Ponniyin Selvan of South is like Mahabharata. Whether it is made as a TV serial or as an animated film, it can be made interesting on the basis of brilliant techniques.

Acting-

Vikram was seen for a short time in Part One of the film, but in Part 2 we can see the amazing acting of Vikram and Aishwarya Rai. Karthi, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, Prakash Raj, Aishwarya Lakshmi all have put their lives into playing their characters.

Why see

Director Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan 2 is more interesting than the first part but to understand part 2 it is necessary to watch part 1. You can watch this film to know the story of Chola Empire closely. Seeing Aishwarya Rai's double role on the big screen is nothing less than a visual treat. After Ravana, you can watch this film to see the chemistry of Vikram and Aishwarya. This film can be seen for the great music, grand set and for the acting of Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha.

Why not see

This film of Mani Ratnam is very big. It could have been reduced on the editing table, which is why the film seems stretched at many places. Hindi belt audiences may find it difficult to relate to the story of the Chola Empire. If you are not interested in history and haven't seen part 1 of the film, then it will be difficult to understand this film.
