Debij means neither boy nor girl. Parents adopting this culture are using neutral gender for their child. Suppose a boy is born in a house, then instead of using the word boy, they use the word Debij to tell the good news to the world. Debij is made up of two words – De (They) and Baby (Baby). In this way the word is being used for neutral gender.
