This big decision was taken regarding MS Dhoni's World Cup winning six, this had not happened before

Everyone will remember that winning six by MS Dhoni in the final of the 2011 World Cup, on which Ravi Shastri did a great commentary. That six of MS Dhoni became one of the iconic moments of world cricket. Now a big decision has been taken regarding that historic six. Mumbai Cricket Association has decided to make a memorial of that six, after which this six will be immortal forever.

The final of the World Cup 2011 was played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The Sri Lankan team scored a mammoth score of 274 runs in the first innings. In terms of finals, this score is very big. The Indian team had lost some of its wickets quickly while chasing the target.

After this, MS Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir shared a 109-run partnership for the fourth wicket and this partnership changed the course of the entire match. Gambhir was dismissed after playing an important inning of 97 runs, while Dhoni made the team champion by playing an unbeaten 91 runs. When India were close to winning and only 4 runs were needed from 11 balls, then Dhoni created history by hitting Nuwan Kulasekara for a six.

Memorial to be built at the spot where the six landed - MCA

The Mumbai Cricket Association has decided that a memorial will be built at the spot where the six fell. Speaking to Cricbuzz, MCA President Amol Kale said, "We will set up a memorial at the same spot where the six landed." Although it is very difficult to find out on which seat that six actually fell, but we have identified 3-4 seats and the memorial will be built there.

While Ajinkya Nayak, secretary of the Maharashtra Cricket Association, said, it will be a tribute to MS Dhoni's match-winning innings. Hope this will inspire many youngsters and try to follow in the footsteps of MS Dhoni.
