According to media reports, the new strain that is spreading among people has been identified as VIM-GES-CRPA. This is a rare strain of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacterium. This is the first time that cases of such strains have come to the fore in America.

68 cases registered in 16 states

According to the CDC, so far 68 cases have been registered in 16 states. Earlier, the US Food and Drug Administration had issued a warning regarding the use of Azicare eyedrops. It was said in the warning that the use of this eyedrop can cause infection due to which people can become blind or even die.

At the same time, after this medicine came into controversies, the Indian company had recalled this medicine. The CDC had also issued a warning regarding this drug and said that the use of the drug should be stopped as soon as possible. Earlier it was told in the reports that the effect of this infection is happening on the blood, urine and lungs.

There was a dispute in Gambia and Uzbekistan as well
