Finally WhatsApp users can now use the instant messaging app on four Android devices. Currently, WhatsApp allows users to log in on desktop as well as smartphone at the same time. WhatsApp has finally launched the Companion Mode feature for all beta testers after months of testing the feature . This feature allows users to connect up to four devices simultaneously and sync chat history across all of them.
According to a report by WABetaInfo, this feature has been rolled out for everyone with the Companion Mode of WhatsApp beta for Android v2.23.8.2. That is, if you are a beta user, then you can upgrade to the latest version of WhatsApp Android Beta. However, after starting the download, it may take up to 24 hours for all beta testers to be able to use the feature. At present, iOS users cannot use the new feature of WhatsApp. In such a situation, if they want to take advantage of this feature, then they must have an Android phone or tablet.
This is how you can use WhatsApp on four devices with Companion Mode
- You will need to download the latest beta version of WhatsApp Messenger or WhatsApp Business from the Google Play Store to connect your second Android mobile device.
- After this click on the option of collect a device and connect the device.
- After installing WhatsApp, go to the settings of your main device and select the option of the connected device.
- After this, use another device to scan the QR code on your backup smartphone.
