WhatsApp Stay Safe Campaign: In this campaign, the focus will be on the safety and privacy of WhatsApp users. WhatsApp will focus on these security features in this.
WhatsApp has announced a new campaign called Stay Safe which focuses on the features already present on the messaging app. The campaign will run for a total of three months with a focus on various safety-centric features such as block and report, two-step verification, privacy and group settings. The campaign focuses on why two-step verification is necessary in WhatsApp, which requires a 6-digit PIN and an OTP to authenticate users. This will prove to be helpful if the smartphone is lost, in which case thieves will not be able to access WhatsApp without the security pin.

Meta will also use this campaign to educate users about the block and report feature. In which a user will be able to block a suspect account and report it to WhatsApp for further action. Similarly, it will also focus on highlighting several privacy features such as how to enable or disable profile photo, last seen, and select the logo to show as status. It will also highlight group safety features with privacy settings and a group invite system.
