Navratna Companies in India: Government of India has recently given Navratna status to Rail Vikas Nigam Limited. Till now it was a Mini Ratna category company of the Government. The new status will be considered effective from 26 April 2023. Rail Vikas Nigam Limited is a company of Ministry of Railways.
The company's total turnover in the year 2021-22 is Rs 19381 crore and net profit is Rs 1087 crore. It is the 13th Central Public Sector Enterprise in the country to get Navratna status.
