Do you know that just taking a walk outside for 15 minutes can make our mind calm and feel good. A research has come out according to which physical activity done outside is better than indoor workout. According to research, walking for a few minutes not only improves our health, but also gives happiness and motivation. This research has been published in Nature.com, in which the focus has been on 'Green Exercise'. This physical activity done in nature improves memory and also makes us feel good.
This research was led by neuroscience doctor Catherine Boere in this neurological study of this green exercise. According to Dr. Catherine, he used to walk with her in places like parks and discuss things. He got the benefit of this in the form of mental relax.
Outdoor vs indoor exercise
In this new study, Dr. Catherine included 30 college students and they were asked to walk indoor and outdoor for a month. It was revealed in the study that the students felt better in the outdoor walk and they also told that they were able to concentrate properly. Dr. Catherine says that the natural world makes us feel relaxed.
Exercise in nature improves mental health. Dr. Catherine titled her new study as 'Exercising is good for the brain but exercising outside is potentially better'. It means, 'Exercising is good for the mind, but we feel better in outdoor workouts.'
Enjoy doing exercise routine
The benefits of exercising outside came to the fore in another study which was published in China last year. According to this, people who used to walk in the gym one day and one day in the park to remove obesity, started feeling better. Such people started feeling stress free and started enjoying their exercise routine.
If seen, it is clear in the studies that 15 minutes of green exercise is no less than a boon for mental health. Claire Wicks, senior researcher at the University of Essex, says that you can feel better even by doing just 5 minutes of green exercise. No matter how busy your schedule is, some time must be taken out for this.
